Baubles, baubles and more baubles.....

Antonia and Emily have the mammoth task of unpacking all our Christmas stock and displaying it in our beautiful new shop. They have unpacked hundreds of baubles and masses of gorgeous Christmas gifts. The shop is now brimming with beautiful things. They are doing a marvellous job!

Author of best selling cake decorating books, Carol Deacon comes to Stockeld.


Sugarcraft expert, Carol Deacon will lead a cake decorating demonstration which aims to inspire the beginner to have a go at making their own Christmas cake and offers the more experienced some quick and easy icing ideas. Carol began cake decorating at Jane Asher's cake shop in Chelsea. Since then Carol has written many books and articles for magazines and demonstrated both here and abroad and on TV.

Work on our new shop is well underway. This year we have lots more in the way of Christmas gifts, LED lights and gorgeous decorations. So while the children ski, skate or get lost in the maze you can enjoy a bit of stress free Christmas shopping.

Lunch and a festive flower arranging demonstrations

NAFAS Flower demonstrators Tony Cleaver and Sue Maddocks, will demonstrate ways of making your home look beautiful this Christmas with flowers. Table centres, door wreaths and swags, plus lots of tips on how to keep your flowers fresh.

Tony Cleaver, NAFAS North East Chairman, has demonstrated flower arranging all over the country and has become renowned for his highly entertaining floral demonstrations.

Sue Maddocks, a Chelsea Flower Show Medallist and NAFAS Area Demonstrator, will lead a demonstration of Christmas Flower arranging techniques for the home. Sue Maddocks has demonstrated flower arranging across the UK and beyond - demonstrating as far afield as Spain. Sue Maddocks will demonstrate a range of flower arranging techniques; from the traditional to the contemporary.

Building the ski trail...



It's been a tough job building our ski trail through the woods. We must thank our team of strapping men, who have worked incredibly hard to complete the 1.2km trail, ready for the specialist nordic ski surface to be laid. We're lucky to have REAL men on the job!

Katy from Spike has come to see how work is progressing on our Nordic ski trail. Katy helps to promote Soloman, who will be suppling the Nordic skis for our trail. Katy is an avid skier herself and can't wait to come back in October to try it out for real!

The Adventure starts Sat 20th October 07

Snow or no snow, ski through our spectacular enchanted woods at Stockeld Park!

This year you will be able to ski though our enchanted woodland. Whether there is snow or no snow, you will be able to don a pair of our state of the art, Soloman, Nordic skis and ski on our special ski surface. Not only is it great exercise, it's bags of fun!

The White Witch makes her entrance!

It's midnight at Stockeld Park and we are in the woods to photograph our wonderful, White Witch. She looks even better than we imagined! Lit with LED lights, set on the backdrop of our illuminated wood, she looks spectacular! You will be able to see her and many more fantastical sights, from Saturday, 20th October at the Christmas Adventure at Stockeld Park.

Gemma, our brilliant metal work artist has done an amazing job of our wonderful White Witch, which she has scuptured completely out of metal. Lit with LED lights our White Witch is going to look magical illuminated in the woods.

Winged unicorns come to life in the woods at Stockeld!

Our flock of winged unicorns look awesome flying through our enchanted wood at the Christmas Adventure at Stockeld Park. What a magical sight!

Our talented artist, Pete, has been very busy in his Leeds studio, working on these spectacular winged unicorn for our Enchanted Wood at The Christmas Adventure. We can't wait to see them in the wood lit with beautiful lights. They are going to look amazing!

Half million Christmas trees grow at Stockeld Park

There are over half a million Christmas trees growing at Stockeld Park, all at different stages in their development. Every tree is nutured by our farm manager Geoff Marsden. The trees definitely keep him busy thoughout the year! So remember Geoff's hard work when you are admiring your fresh tree this Christmas.

Now recruiting for winter workers!

The Christmas Adventure is now recruiting for winter workers for our winter season starting in October 2007 to the end of January 2008. Yorkshire's finest Christmas Tree grower

For over 40 years Stockeld Park has grown Christmas trees on the estate, which have been sold wholesale to garden centres and nurseries all over Yorkshire. Over recent years, more and more local people have come to Stockeld Park to buy a locally grown Christmas tree.
